Who runs this valley, where it is hosted, and who to write to when something is wrong.
Version of 4 September 2026.
La Vallée is the French name of the place; the game is presented under the brand Valgnome in France and Gnomedale elsewhere. It is the same world and the same publisher.
The game, its simulation and player accounts run at OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France (ovhcloud.com), on servers located in the European Union.
Site delivery and protection go through Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States (cloudflare.com).
Gnomedale simulates whole lives, and therefore their end too. Gnomes die there of old age, of illness, under a cat’s paw or a giant’s foot, and it shows: a little blood, bodies in the grass, funerals, and a dark humour that runs all the way into the work songs.
Not recommended for children under 12. Watching the valley stays open to everyone; creating a gnome requires being 12 or older, and a parent’s consent under 15. Details are in chapter Who may enter of the terms of use.
Today, nothing is paid for: the first 200 gnomes are free, and no payment is accepted yet; once sales open, only adults will be able to pay. No sexual content either, and no gambling: coins are earned by playing and are never converted into real money.
The code, models, scenery, texts, faces, music and sounds of Gnomedale, as well as the names Valgnome, Gnomedale and La Vallée, are protected by copyright and trademark law. Reproducing them or using them elsewhere requires our written consent.
Two deliberate exceptions: your screenshots and videos of Gnomedale are yours, including on a monetised channel, as long as the game is credited; and what your gnome says belongs to you, we only display it (see What residents say).
The music of the inn ball is “Master of the Feast” by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence: it is not ours, and its author must remain credited.
Residents’ words and family names are written by players. If any of them seems unlawful to you (hatred, harassment, sexual content, other people’s personal data), write to [email protected] describing the content, where it appears and when you saw it. We reply and act as quickly as we can, sanctions included.
The data controller is the publisher above. What Gnomedale keeps, why, for how long and how to have it erased is written in plain words in chapter Your personal data of the terms of use.
